Harwich High School Graduation Requirements

To graduate from Harwich High School, students must accumulate a minimum of 24 credits based on course work completed in grades nine through twelve. The following table lists the requirements in each subject: Class of 2010 needs 25 credits to graduate.

Social studies 4 years
Science 3 years
Math 3 years
PE/Health/Guidance 1/2 year Gr.9 1/2 year Gr.10
Fine or Applied Art 1 year
Writing Center 1/2 year
Portfolio Presented in grade 10
Computers 1/2 year up to 2010 Two 1/2 year courses 2010 and beyond
MCAS Pass ELA, Math(and History for 2011)
Community Service Class of 2009 and beyond- 60 hours

Electives are offered in computers,art, business, foreign language, home economics, industrial arts, music, and diversified learning.
