I think StarChild is a GREAT  site...HES LMC uses StarChild with 2nd graders and because it has two levels of information, the site can be used with a variety of ages and abilities.....maa

Here's the Web Quest....

Today, we are going on a trip to a far away place.
We are going to leave Harwich and Cape Cod and Massachusetts and New England and the United States and North America and the Northern Hemisphere and the Earth.....
We are going to Explore another PLANET and gather information about that planet so we can survive on the planet when we visit!

You are going to visit the StarChild site on the World Wide Web...
The World Wide Web is the Internet...
remember...
you promised to respect the rules
when you go out to another computer to get information!
 
  


Step 1.... Print this page!.... It will give you a place to write your information AND it will tell you what to do next....

Decide... do you want one copy per team or does every team member want their own worksheet?.... (The worksheet is at the bottom of this page!)

Look up to the top of the screen... see the square PRINT button...
use your mouse to point to that button...... click the left mouse button...
click the OK box... go to the printer to pick up your work paper...
Great.... the paper copy will help you follow the Web Quest without getting LOST!

it will take you to another computer in the world so you can start gathering
Information!!!!...
Be Patient!!!!!.... wait for the page to completely come to your computer.....
when you see the picture of a Kids and Animals in Space suits!....
Now, Click on "Level 1"
Arrow Down....Click on "Solar System"
Arrow Down...Click on the name of your planet!

As Soon as you see the name of your planet at the top of the screen ,
YOU NEED TO READ!!!!
You Will Not find the Answers in order.....
You Will Not find the ALL the Answers here....
BUT, YOU WILL FIND A LOT OF INFORMATION HERE!!!
Have Fun in Space!!!!

Pick and Click the FACTS...then use the BACK button...
and Pick and Click the other two "Buttons" at the bottom of the page....
then read the first screen!!!
