       We live on Cape Cod.
Cape Cod is famous for many things.
Beautiful beaches, windmills, seashells, stone towers, sail boats, sea gulls, sand pipers, horseshoe crabs, glass, artists, But in Harwich, we are famous for CRANBERRIES!
Cranberries are called Bounceberries....
       Follow the instructions
and
you'll bounce to some places that  have information about  bogs, bugs, buns and barrels of berry stuff...


INTRODUCTION
Cape Cod Cranberries are celebrated each and every year at our Harwich Elementary School
Come discover why Cranberries are so interesting to us!

Visit our BOGS ....
Mix some BUNS and yummy Cranberry fruit recipes and food ....
Investigate CranBERRY Information... the history, festivals, crafts, information
     resources...


THE TASK
Create a Cranberry Celebration of your very own...

Celebrations can come in many different forms!

How to create a Cranberry Celebration...

Here are some suggestions....

1.Decide what your final project will look like...
          a poster...(information and pictures together...)
          a play...( characters, dialog, scenes/settings, costumes, songs...)
          a display...(case, parade float, bulletin board...)
          a report...(on paper, photo-essay, video or HyperStudio)
          a museum...(object, art, living...)
          a book...(cook, story, history, fact, picture, ...)
          a craft fair...
          a parade with floats and cranberry characters...
          or ???????? an idea of your own!
2.Visit the BOGS
3.Research the fruit and some FOOD recipes
4.Gather FACTS and fun
5.Mix all you found
6.Create your Berry Best Cranberry Celebration!


THE PROCESS

LEARNING ADVICE

Please Do NOT expect the information to JUMP off the computer screen or the book pages into your brain and on to your paper!!!!;-)

2.  Take notes or make flow charts or maps or draw reminders to yourself

3.. The Internet is only ONE source of Information!  Make sure you use books, encyclopedias and periodicals (magazines)!
