Opposition to slavery led to the development the women’s rights movement because the men would not allow the women to play an equal role in abolitionism.
Drafted the “Declaration of Sentiments” after the Declaration of Independence.
Although the convention was not very successful it lead to more groups and conventions sprouting up around the U.S.
