1.  Trace the course of US neutrality in the years leading up to the attack on Pearl Harbor.  Explain the key events that led to victory in the European and Pacific theaters of the war.

2.  Explain the roots of the Cold War in the years following World War II.  Which events were the most important in the containment of communism?  How was American society affected by the struggle?
