Alternate Renewable Energy Resources

Wind power Solar Power
Hydroelectrical Geothermal

Wind power-  To generate energy from the wind, wind turbines can be put up in open, extremely windy areas.  The blowing wind spins the trubine's propeller and generates energy which is then put into the energy grid and given to the people.  No natural resoures are destroyed and the natrual World is better for it.

Hydroelectrical-  Dams can be made over a strongly flowing river, such as the Hoover Dam.  The water spins a trubine which generates electricity and is then given to people.  In the United States hydroelectic power can power 28 million homes with electricity which is equivalent to 500 million barrels of oil.

Solar Power-  This type of energy uses the sun 's heat and light to power homes and bussinesses.  It gives them heat, electricity, light, and even a cooling mechanism.

Geothermal-  This is using the heat of the Earth for direct heating effects.  In the United States the most geothermal energy is located in the west but this type of energy is capable of being used any where in the United States.  In Iceland because the Mid Atlantic Rift runs rights through them so geothermal energy heats most of the nation.
