Summary:
We had a great day for sailing with 10-15 knots of Northeast
breeze, and got a complete rotation in by 3:00. We sailed 8 races
is each division, with each team getting one bye. The racing was
extremely close as the lead see-sawed throughout the day with the top 4
changing places every set. Nantucket, led by A-division skipper Jen
Philbrick, pulled off the victory in the end. Special thank yous
for the food go to Jackie Leach, Greg Kelly, Ethan Owens and the Harwich
Moms. Also, Cape
Water Sports (and general manager Ethan Owens)
provided a big assist in preparing and repairing the boats for the day,
and providing, with Vanguard, a lot of great giveaways at the end-of-regatta
free raffle. Great sportsmanship and competition was displayed by
all teams! See you next year!
