Welcome to the Harwich High School Mission Site. This website is a collaborative effort between teachers, students, and administrators that shows how the school integrates the Mission and Expectations for Student Learning into the school culture and the community that surrounds it. Here is a place to find evidence of achievement in the main areas of the mission: academic, social, and civic. It is also a resource for teachers, students, and community members.

Below the mission statement are links to each of the student expectations for learning. The links to the left show how each department makes connections to the Mission by identifying assessments that address specific Expectations for Student Learning. There are also links to the seven main standards for the NEASC review and the self studies done by the school pertaining to those standards.

Curriculum

The following is the standard Harwich High School followed to reach their conclusions in the self study. Click here to read the self study regarding Curriculum.

 

The curriculum, which includes coursework, co curricular activities, and other school-approved educational experiences, is the school's formal plan to fulfill its mission statement and expectations for student learning. The curriculum links the school's beliefs, its expectations for student learning, and its instructional practices. The strength of that link is dependent upon the professional staff's commitment to and involvement in a comprehensive, ongoing review of the curriculum.
