Our Mission: It is our mission as a department to provide students with a quality educational experience that helps them to meet the academic standards of the school, district, and state while at the same time helping them to become healthy, respectful, well-rounded individuals. The English department’s goal is to create life-long learners who write precisely, listen carefully, understand what they read, speak clearly, and effectively use standard English. Students will be able to access, analyze, evaluate and apply knowledge and experiences for a variety of purposes, audiences and situations.

Requirements: Students must take four years of non-elective English courses in order to graduate from HHS
